Registration Fees


Conference registration includes: ONE admission to conference general and breakout sessions, plus all meals noted on the conference schedule.

Registration submitted now through March 1, 2018 $320
Registration submitted after March 1, 2018 $400
SEE Training Track A Registration $189
SEE Training Track B Registration $189

Conference registration payments are due by May 18, 2018.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
WASEA & SASEA hopes everyone who registers for the conference will be able to attend; however, WASEA & SASEA knows extenuating circumstances do occur. The WASEA Cancellation & Refund Policy will be followed to assure consistency.

Conference registrations canceled online on or before April 1, 2018, will be eligible to receive a refund minus a 25% processing fee. If you have not paid your conference registration by this date and are canceling, you will be billed the 25% processing fee.

Registrants canceling after April 1, 2018 will be responsible for the full amount due whether they have paid or not. If you fail to attend the conference after registering without officially cancelling, you will be liable for the full amount due whether you have paid or not.

Registrants unable to attend, and that did not cancel in a timely manner, may substitute another employee from their institution. We would ask that you notify us with that information as soon as it becomes available.

Student Employment Essentials (SEE) Training
SEE Training is comprised of two one-day, professional seminars that will teach you the skills critical to the success of every student employment professional as well as to your college or university’s student employment program. These "hands-on" workshops immerse participants in all aspects of running a successful student employment office and provide a framework for you to sharpen existing skills and acquire new ones.

Inspired by the grand lodges of the past, with all of the conveniences of the present, the Lodge is surrounded by mountains with the pristine waters of Whitefish Lake at the back door and all the amenities of a full-service resort. The Lodge is only minutes from downtown Whitefish, and less than a 30-minute drive to the scenic wonders of Glacier National Park.

Reservations can be made online. Cutoff date for rooms is Wednesday, April 18, 2018. The group ID and password required for reservations follows:

The Lodge at Whitefish requires payment of the first night’s room and tax will be collected at time of booking to guarantee reservation. Remaining balance is due within 14 days of arrival, this amount will be deducted from credit card on file.

Room rates are per night and do not include applicable state and local taxes. The conference rates are as follows:

Getting Here
Whitefish is one of the most accessible mountain towns in North America. Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) is only 11 miles from town with direct flights on major airlines from Seattle, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, Las Vegas and San Francisco.

The Lodge at Whitefish Lake provides complimentary shuttle service for guests traveling via Whitefish Amtrak depot and the Glacier Park International Airport. Please schedule in advance with the front desk.

Community Service Project
Each year, WASEA and its members give back to the community by adopting a local charity and organizing activities to benefit it.


What to Bring

  • Item(s) for the Silent Auction and/or items for the charity.
  • Business cards for networking with other attendees.

The weather in Whitefish in June has an average high temperature of 75 degree and a low of 45 degrees. Bring a light sweater for session rooms as they tend to be chilly.

Conference Schedule
The 2018 WASEA - SASEA Conference provides applicable training through a variety of relevant sessions geared towards the participant’s professional development.

Attending this conference provides the opportunity for professionals to learn and train with other administrators from a wide range of western and southern states and institution types. Professionals from 13 Western states and 13 Southern states come together to connect and collaborate on best practices, emerging trends and most importantly, to build lasting relationships. There is always a wide range of session topics.

Session Format
Breakout Session: These one-hour sessions can take various forms, from a single presenter or panel presentation. The length of one hour gives time for a more in-depth exploration of a topic.

Solution Room: The Solution Room is a powerful conference session, typically lasting 1 hour, which not only engages and connects attendees, but also provides peer-supported advice on their most pressing problems.

1.5 hour Workshop: This 1.5 hour in-depth, hands-on session is a combination of a Breakout session and a Solution Room.
